Good Hotel
I was looking for a cheap room to get closer to Blue Mountain ski area where I was heading with my 10 year old daughter early the next morning. The price was good and I really only planned to stay from 9pm through 7am.
Once we arrived I was a little put off by the area (near a highway by the airport) and thought the property was probably going to be run down... but everything was fine.
I had not stayed at s Fairfield that I could remember, so I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great, thought it was an excellent value for the price point. It was kind of like a Courtyard was 10-15 years ago.
Room was clean and had a fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the lobby was basic but very goo (as was the coffee). Overall was impressed with the value for the rate charged.

Still a Marriott fan!
The room we were given at first had a very strong smoking (Cigar?) smell (RM313). We were given a new room so no problem. But the room management could be improved.

Fun night out in a great area
We arrived early (2 hrs) but were given our room immediately. Check in was smooth and easy and all questions were addressed. We had tickets to a performance at the Sands casino and was able to use the Hotel shuttle to get there. Awesome! The drivers were very knowledgeable on the area and its history. We planned our next day around some of their suggestions.

Great staff, a few improvement suggestions
Always enjoy interacting with the very customer-focused Fairfield staff - even saved some very delicious oatmeal raisin cookies for me one day during my stay when I got back to the hotel late! A few suggestions. 1. offer ice cream as an amenity gift option at checkin, as the nearby Residence Inn and Courtyard do. 2. reinstate the relationship with Gold's gym, perhaps in Whitehall, that the hotel had previously with the Bethlehem Gold's, which is nowclosed. That was a great advantage versus the nearby Residence Inn and Courtyard, since the fitness facilities are limited at all 3 of these area hotels.
