Sunset Court

Exceptional Meeting & Event Venues

Home to ground breaking events, innovative product launches, and high profile corporate engagements, the Palace Hotel, San Francisco meeting rooms provide the perfect setting for successful meetings and special events. Select from three ornate ballrooms, 44,000 square feet of function space with 23 meeting rooms and 4 executive boardrooms, a self-contained conference area and full service business center. The largest space accommodates up to 1,000.

The French Parlor

Inlaid hardwood floors and shimmering chandeliers adorn this 2,000-square-foot French Parlor which overlooks the magnificent Garden Court.

Regency Foyer

The expansive 1,500-square-foot Regency Foyer can accommodate 250 guests for a reception.

The Sutter Boardroom

Distinctive, well-lit 650-square-foot Sutter Boardroom can accommodate 16 attendees for for a conference-style meeting.

The Ralston Ballroom

The sophisticated 5,000-square-foot Ralston Ballroom is adorned with French sconces and original chandeliers, and accommodates 600 attendees for a reception, and 420 guests for a banquet.

The Sunset Court

The sun lit glass domes illuminates the 5,000-square-foot Sunset Court, which can accommodate 600 guests for a reception and 300 guests for a wedding.

Setup Example

Reception

Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.

Setup Example

Banquet

Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.

Conference and Hollow Square

Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.

E-shape, U-shape and T-shape

Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.

Theater

Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.

The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
