The United Arab Emirates or simply called as Emirates was formed from seven tribal sheikdoms that were known as the Trucial States. The seven emirates constituting the United Arab Emirates are Abu Dhabi which serves as the capital, Dubai being the most populous city, Ajman as the smallest of the emirates by area, Ras al-Khaimah which means “Top of the Tent”, Sharjah the third largest emirate, Umm al-Quwain is the least populous city and Fujairah that is the only one that has a shoreline exclusively on the Gulf of Oman and none on the Persian Gulf.
The country has evolved not just being the seventh largest oil reserves in the world but also being one of the top must visit places for its globally known attractions.
Major tourist landmarks and constituencies include the pristine beaches of Ajman and wilder beaches of the Emirate of Fujairah. The Sheikh Ziyeed Grand Mosque which is one of the largest mosques in the world, the historical and oldest mosque in the United Arab Emirates, Al-Bidyah of Fujairah. The Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium in Abu Dhabi known as the largest zoo in the country comprises Arabian antelopes and Oryx, eland, gazelle, lechwe that can be found in the three shaded paddocks.
The district of Al Qasba in Sharjah is home to the majestic Eye of the Emirates Wheel which gives spectacular views of beautiful scenery, Al Qasba skyline ad even the Gulf coast extending all the way to Dubai. The Emirates Palace is a seven star hotel located in Abu Dhabi offering guests luxurious and prime comfort and resembles the beauty of Arabian culture. The mountain of Jebel Hafeet on the outskirts of Al Ain in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi offers an impressive view of the city and lies a well-developed tourist attraction, the Green Mubazarrah.
