Greenbelt is a green and luscious Washington D.C. suburb, located only a couple of kilometres away from the convenient Metroliner that takes visitors into the nation's’ capital. However, guests will find that there are plenty of things to do in Greenbelt as well. Nature lovers will be able to marvel at the beauty of Greenbelt Park, where you can go hiking, cycling, walking, or even just have an afternoon picnic. Guests can also go out on the water at the Buddy Attick Lake Park. If being outdoors is not your cup of tea, there are plenty of indoors Greenbelt attractions. For example, both the Greenbelt Museum and the Greenbelt Arts Centre offer up excellent exhibitions on heritage, culture, and arts. Those more interested in sciences will enjoy the Beltsville Agricultural Research Centre and the College Park Aviation Museum. One place not to be missed is the NASA Goddard Visitor Centre, where visitors can view excellent space and science exhibitions. After a busy day, head to the Beltway Plaza mall to do a bit of shopping or to find excellent dining options. Later, check out the Old Greenbelt Theatre, a historic movie theatre built in 1938, where you can still view a screening.
