Dubai is part of the seven Emirates forming the immaculate country of the United Arab Emirates. Located in the southeast Persian Gulf, Dubai is the second largest by territorial size and the most populous Emirates among the seven sheikdoms.
A city with futuristic skyscrapers, liberal policies, gleaming coast line and bounded by endless desert. Dubai has emerged to be the most modern and progressive emirate in the UAE. The city is blessed with impressive attractions, state of the art infrastructure, vibrant beaches, and also known for the traditional souk districts located on either side of the stream. The city makes a great short break for shopping, fine dining, sporting events, partying and a lot more pleasurable activities.
The city is home to well-known attractions and historical landmarks like the Burj Khalifa which is known as the tallest freestanding structure, highest observation deck and elevator with the longest travel distance in the world. The city is also home to world’s largest shopping centre. The Dubai Mall. It is one of the world’s most-visited shopping and leisure destination with more than 1,200 shops. The Burj Al Arab or known as the Tower of Arabs is truly one of the most iconic symbols of Dubai and is a magnificent building. There are historical landmarks like Bur Dubai or commonly known as the Dubai Creek, Deira, downtown Dubai, Satwa and Jebel Ali, Dubai Festival City, The World Trade Center, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Ski Dubai and Souks.
Other districts of Dubai that are also well known are Satwa, one of Dubai’s Little India and Little Manila. Jumeirah is Dubai’s Little Europe that is much favored by European due to the ease of access of the beach and elegant villas. The Bastakia quarter shouldn’t be missed for it is the last remaining fragment of Old Dubai before skyscrapers took over the skyline.
