Brisbane

Our Brisbane hotels put you in the middle of Australia’s playful side. Whether you’re making friends with a koala or venturing off to Gold Coast City, you won’t be at a loss for something fun to do. Australia’s coffee culture stretches back to the early 20th century, so stop at a café for a flat white before wandering the City Botanic Gardens, Brisbane’s oldest park.

For a rousing ballet, opera or play near your hotel in Brisbane, get tickets for the a show at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, which is home to the Concert Hall, Playhouse, Cremorne Theater, and Lyric Theater. You can also view works of art at the Queensland Art Gallery or Gallery of Modern Art, and visit the Queensland Museum and State Library.

For a performance of a different type, attend a sporting event near your Brisbane accommodation. From rugby at Suncorp Stadium (better known as “the Cauldron”) to Strikers soccer at Perry Park, this city knows how to compete. Other favourite sports venues include Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for Bullets basketball, Sleeman Centre for Queensland Firebrids netball, and The Gabba for cricket with the Queensland Bulls and Australian rules football with the Brisbane Lions.

No trip to Brisbane is complete without taking in some of the city’s best views. If you’re feeling adventurous, experience the Story Bridge Adventure Climb, one of only three bridge climbs in the world. Otherwise, head to Mount Coot-tha Lookout, for a romantic evening watching the sunset over Brisbane.
